This was a brilliant idea! It always make me sad when black history month roll around and the media is always reminding us of how our ancestors were forced to be slaves. It's as if they have nothing more to say about the great people we are. Or of the many inventions we created. It's no wonder the youth run away from being black. These flash cards are a game changer! They allows and inspire the youth, to see that they can become Millionaires too by following the footsteps of present day Millionaires. MILLIONAIRES!!!! What an inspiration!
The collection and visuals with education and professional profile information is a powerful motivator for adults and children that black folks of all backgrounds can achieve financial liberation!
It's great to see people who look like you excell and have financial success. Some people have to see it before they can be it. These flash cards go along way in reinforcing and normalizing black excellence.
I use the flash cards with my students. They love the pictures and the information.
It is wonderful for our children to see so many beautiful faces with various hues of brown along with the stories of their humble beginnings. I am thankful to all who agreed to participate in giving children incentives by sharing their stories.
These are great
I have not used them yet but are planning to incorporate classes into my Etiquette for Children classes in 2021. But yes they are fabulous and I'd like more volumes of them.
So I incorporate it in with my grandkids allowance and chore chart. They get allowance every two weeks. I give them 3 cards to read and be familiar with. If within those two weeks they can write or speak about what they learned of the people on the card and what they think about what they do, the kids get allowance for knowing it.
I brought these for my granddaughter. She love them. Her mother was so excited
